Adult Learning Taster Day at The Hive

Residents of Worcestershire are invited to join The Hive's Adult Learning Taster Day on Tuesday 19 March.

The courses at The Hive, organised by Worcestershire County Council's Libraries and Learning team will be run by business professionals with small micro business across the county.  

This drop in taster day from 9:30am to 8pm at The Hive gives you the opportunity to chat with trainers, see what's on offer and find out which workshop is best for you.  

If you are interested in finding out more about any of the workshops, the trainers will be at The Hive at the following times:

  • 9:30am - 11:30am - Art for all
  • 10:00am - 12 noon - Starting a handmade jewellery business
  • 11:30am - 1:30pm - Cake decorating for complete beginners
  • 1:00pm - 3:00pm -    Introduction to family history
  • 3:00pm - 4:00pm -    Sewing Surgery
  • 3:00pm - 4:00 pm -   Hands on Art  - no experience needed
  • 7:00pm - 8:00pm -    Yoga and goal setting, self development  

Drop in for hands on experience or just to chat with the trainers.

The Hive is a joint partnership between Worcestershire County Council and the University of Worcester and is the first to joint public and university library in Europe.

Janine Downes, Library Manager at The Hive said: "We want The Hive to be an inspiring place that everyone in the local community can enjoy. These fantastic adult learning workshops support the vision for the building to be a place for people of all ages and walks of life to discover new things and sharing a passion for learning. I really do encourage everyone to come in for this taster day to experience something new.”
