Find Out 'Everything You Wanted to Know About Babies', During Practical Session at The Hive

Parents, carers and parents-to-be are being invited to sign up to one of six special sessions, titled ‘Everything You Wanted to Know about Babies’ at The Hive in Worcester this spring.

The sessions will be run by Mary Nolan, the UK’s only Professor of Perinatal Education, of the University of Worcester, who has many years experience working with families and babies on birth and parenting skills.

Whether you are expecting a baby, have a new baby in the family, help care for a baby, or are simply fascinated by babies, this session is for you.

Dr Nolan said: “This is a very practical session for everyone; it is not academic. It will cover what babies learn in the womb, parenting hormones, how babies learn about relationships, whether babies should be left to cry and how does a baby become a 'school-ready' three year old?”

The hour-long sessions are a chance to meet other parents, carers and families, and make new friends at the same time as finding out 'everything you wanted to know about babies'.

People are invited to sign up for just one session, at only £1.

The sessions will run six times, on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 11.30am from April 16th to May 21st.

To book a place at one of the classes call 01905 855141.

The Hive is a joint partnership between the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council and is the first joint university and public library in the Country.
