Half term fun at The Hive

The Hive is hosting a variety of fun activities this half term to help families keep their younger children occupied and having fun.

Keeping your children entertained during the holidays has never been easier with these free, fun events brought to you by The Hive, a partnership between Worcestershire County Council and the University of Worcester.  

Join our Big Build in the children's library on Wednesday 29 May where children can enjoy LEGO building activities as well as an interactive story-sharing session. Let their imagination run wild with two workshop sessions at 10am - 12pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm. These workshops are perfect for children aged 4 - 12 years to attend with a parent or career and booking is essential please e-mail or visit the information point on level 1 to book your free place.  

For the little ones there will be bounce and rhyme for 1-4 years on Tuesday 28 May from 10am - 10:30am and baby bounce and rhyme for 0-1 years on Friday 31 May 11am - 11:30am.  

Stories will fill the children's library on Saturday afternoons (25 May and 1 June) with our Chatterbooks group for children aged 8-12years. Join us for stories in the story pit at 3pm.

Half term will also see the launch of The Hive's celebrations of Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month. Starting on Saturday 1 June  join us for family craft in the children's library from 10am - 3pm and storytime at 11am and 3pm. Watch films made by Worcestershire's young people, read books written by them and enjoy the true Traveller culture
