Hundreds Gathered for Christmas at The Hive

Christmas came to The Hive at the weekend with three busy days packed full of festivities.

The event was launched on Friday with a Christmas lantern procession, where over 60 children and their parents made their way to The Hive Christmas tree for carols played by Stourport-on-Severn Brass Band.

Over the weekend there were lots of activities for families to come and enjoy, including performances of Beauty and the Beast, candle making in the children’s library, and funky Christmas carols performed on Sunday by Click, Click Collective.

Laura Worsfold, Business Development Manager at The Hive, said: “The procession on Friday was stunning, and the children were all very proud to be holding the lanterns they had made at workshops with The Hive. The carols performed by Stourport-on-Severn Brass Band really added to the festive atmosphere.”

Stourport-on-Severn Brass Band was formed in 1969 and currently rehearses on Tuesdays from 7.45pm – 9.45pm at the Old School, Areley Kings Stourport-on-Severn. New players are always welcome.

Christmas activities at The Hive continue through the month with Christmas bauble making on Wednesday, activities for young children on Fridays and Saturdays, and free Christmas classic movie screenings in The Studio from Thursday 19 December to Sunday 22 December, with a family showing on Saturday morning.
