Leading Expert to Deliver Talks on Child Development at The Hive

Parents of young toddlers will be able to gain a valuable insight into their child’s development from one of the country’s leading experts, over the coming weeks.

The University of Worcester’s Professor Mary Nolan, the UK’s first Professor of Perinatal Education, will be delivering a talk entitled ‘All About Your One-Year- Old’ on six separate occasions at The Hive throughout February, March and April.

At the talks – which are aimed at families of toddlers and expectant parents – Professor Nolan will share the latest research and give an insight into what parents can expect as their toddler continues to develop.

She explains: “At a year old, your baby is smiling, laughing, sitting up and perhaps on the move, and you want to know what to expect next and how to provide a great environment for your child to grow up in.

“We will be looking at key issues for parents, such as your child’s sleeping pattern, helping him or her to explore the world, how language develops, and why children often become clingy.

“Whether you’re expecting a baby or already have a little one; whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or are simply interested in babies, hopefully this talk will inform you on what to expect next and answer some questions that you may have.”

The first session will take place at The Hive on Wednesday February 11, between 10.30am and 11.30am, and the talk will be repeated on February 18 and 25, March 11 and 18 and April 1 (all Wednesdays).

Attendance costs £3 per person. For more information, or to book your place, contact Beth Campagna at
