Find Out How You Can Make a Difference at Hive Volunteer Recruitment Event

The Hive is gearing up to recruit new volunteers at its Volunteer Recruitment Event on Thursday 6 October 1.30 – 2.30pm and 6 – 7pm. Opportunities await for people who can welcome visitors to The Hive, offer support with using computers and the internet.

The Volunteer Recruitment event is a chance to meet The Hive staff, current volunteers and find out more about what goes on at The Hive.

Janine Downes, Library Services Manager at The Hive, said: “Volunteers already support lots of activity at The Hive, including a very busy Work Club, Beginners Computing Sessions, Children's Bounce and Rhyme sessions, Archive and Archaeology services, delivering books to housebound customers and greeting customer entering the building. They really add value to what we do, and help make the customer's experience an excellent one.

“The Hive is a busy venue and a great place for volunteers to experience working in a unique facility, learn something new and meet new people. Lots of our volunteers go on to work here or in roles elsewhere, while others may be retired and bring the many skills they have gained in the workplace to support our customers."

If you live outside of Worcester, but would like the chance to volunteer, opportunities also exist in all Worcestershire libraries.
