Great Expectations at The Hive

Dickens' magnificent novel, Great Expectations, will be brought thrillingly to life in a new promenade performance by Everyman Theatre at The Hive.

Tailor made to move the audience through this recently-opened building, a partnership between the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council, this production, showcasing in November, will be performed by professional actors from Everyman Theatre alongside local actors from Worcestershire.

Staged on Level One of The Hive this loved classic tells the simple story of Pip, brought up in poverty on the marshes and thrust into London society by an anonymous benefactor. Follow Pip as he meets some of the most memorable characters ever created, including the escaped convict Magwitch, the jilted bride Miss Havisham, the beautiful but cruel Estella plus many more of Dickens' wonderful characters.

Suitable for family audiences and accessible to all, this adventure story with romantic undertones is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seats.
