February Half Term Fun
The Hive will be hosting a variety of exciting activities over this half term that will keep your family entertained. Most of the activities are free and you don’t need to book*, just come along and join in the fun!

Monday 20th February
Worcestershire Play Council FREE play - 10:00am -12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm
Join in for some FREE play, games and craft activities for children aged 2- 11 years.
Tuesday 21st February
Bounce and Rhyme plus Storytime with Elmer and the Flood – 10:00am
A fun and friendly Bounce and Rhyme session aimed at pre-school children and their parents and carers, followed by story time with Elmer at 10:30am.
Junk Modelling – 11:00am-12:30pm and 2:00pm-3:30pm
Self-directed activity, using recycled materials build and construct your own creations. The only limit is your imagination!
Wednesday 22nd February
Sustainability Wacky Wednesday – 1:30pm-4:00pm
It's a special sustainability themed Wacky Wednesday where we'll be playing, learning and listening to Elmer and the Flood! Suitable for aged 0-5 years. We'll also have a special 'School Smart' craft session aimed at getting children ready to start school!
Family Theatre - Seedheart – 10:30am and 1:30pm (£3.00 per person)
Seedheart is the perfect family theatre for half term with an environmental message. Unfolding from a suitcase (literally) Seedheart tells the important tale of human impact on the environment and a journey into a better future with magical pop-ups, puppetry and interactive scenes along the way that will delight and entertain! Thursday 23rd February
Story time – 10:30am – Elmer and the Flood
After being cooped up in a cave with his herd, Elmer longs for a bit of fresh air and some peace and quiet. When Elmer goes outside, he discovers the rain has caused a flood. Can brave Elmer work out a way to save a stranded young elephant?
Heritage Activities - 10:00am-1:00pm
Come and get hands on with heritage and try your hand at quill pen writing, make your own seal, design a coin and have a go at our archaeology quizzes. This free drop in session will be available in the Oasis, inside the children's library and is suitable for ages 5-10 years.
