Supporting business

The Archive and Archaeology Service, based at The Hive, provides advice to landowners, developers and consultants on the archaeological implications and potential opportunities of development in the County.

An early conversation with us will clarify the process and ensure that, if there are archaeological implications for your scheme, your costs will be kept to a minimum.

We also provide advice on the management and conservation of the rural and urban historic environment. This includes feeding into community-focused projects and HLF projects.

We can run workshops and training sessions on a wide variety of heritage and historic environment topics. See more Archaeology Planning Advice.
